Sundar Pichai-1-1024x630Buffett announced that he will give more than 80 percent to foundations that support charitable causes. In the year 2020, he boosted that percentage to 99 percent. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was the main beneficiary. It was created by Bill Gates, Microsoft founder as well as his wife Melinda. They were focused on education and world health. Bill and Buffett have been close to each other since the early 1990s. The three Buffett children as well as the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation (named after his wife) were among those that received donations. They focused on women's reproductive rights, provided college scholarships, and several other charities. The Giving Pledge was an invitation for other wealthy people to contribute a substantial portion of their assets to charities that was created by Buffett and Gates in 2010.
